O friends of Koodankulam
Peace be unto you – as you fought against all the grand realities of power
Peace be unto you – as you have shown the courage none will ever forget
Peace be unto you – as you rise as torch bearers in darkness of democracy
Peace be unto you – as your barefoot campaign has the deepest mark on the sand
O friends of Koodankulam
Salute to your leaders who fought not for NGOs, not for foreign exchanges
Salute to your leaders who fought not for kingship, not for money
Salute to your leaders who fought not for themselves, not for ourselves
Salute to your leaders who fought for humanity, fought for human conscience
O friends of Koodankulam
May mercy be on your martyr, on all your fighters
May mercy be on your children who saw the future beyond schooled walls
May mercy be on your mothers, on your daughters who fasted relentlessly
May mercy be on your fishermen; in their tight net we caught falsehood
O friends of Koodankulam
The west must learn from you, the east must be inspired by your audacity
The Arabian Sea shall take this message of sacrifice to far of beaches
The windmill erected must whirl this truth of standing against odds
The doves on churches shall take this message of unity to all
O friends of Koodankulam
We are all spiritually homeless and we have thousand homes
As radiation has no home, so has the resistance
We are all in slaughterhouse of humanity waiting for our turn
As the nights becomes darker and the days are mindless
O friends of Koodankulam
All trains to eternity must stop at one station
All skies beyond sky must touch one border
All waves churned by wave must snail at one coast
All butterflies in colorful chaos must stop at one flower
O friends of Koodankulam
The time is not in past, not in future nor is it present
The time has never come, it has never passed
The time flows in the blood of resisting bodies
The time is for one who dreams, one who lives the dream
