Students protest in Kolkata against the KKNP, nuclear power, and state atrocities against the people at Koodankulam
Students from Jadavpur University and Presidency University in Kolkata gathered today (29.09.12) at the Shyambazar Five Point Crossing to express solidarity with the people’s anti-nuclear struggle at Koodankulam and to protest against nuclear power. They were joined by activists and concerned citizens from various walks of life.
The students assembled at 2 in the afternoon and the demonstration continued until 5:30 PM. It was enriched by colourful posters, road graffiti, speeches, slogans, and inspiring songs. The central banner read:
“A nuclear war is being waged on the people at Koodankulam. Which side are you on?”
