The Honorable Chief Minister
Government of Tamil Nadu
St. George Fort

Honorable Madam:
Greetings! We are running the SACCER Matriculation School in the outskirts of Nagercoil town. We have established the School on our own land and built it up with our own funds. Since we run the School for the underprivileged children of the neighboring villages, we have never collected any donations or building funds from the parents. We are not running the School as a financial venture but as an educational movement.
Since one of us is involved in the anti-Koodankulam nuclear power project struggle, our School was attacked by local thugs and anti-social elements on the intervening nights of March 1-2 and again on March 19-20, 2012. Our School compound walls were razed down completely; our School van was badly vandalized; hundreds of pieces of furniture were damaged; drinking water pipes were broken; computers and motors were stolen; and most importantly, our School library that was used by our poor and rural first generation learners was badly ravaged by the uneducated and anti-people vandals. Now the anti-social elements are threatening us with bomb scare, rumors and other intimidating tactics.
We have formally complained to the Rajakkamangalam Police Station officers, the Deputy Superintendent of Police of Kanyakumari town and to the Superintendent of Police of Kanyakumari District. But no one has been inquired and nobody has been arrested so far in connection with these cases. We would very much like to bring this to your kind attention and earnestly hope that you would order an inquiry into the attack on our school and uphold the values and principles that your government espouses. We earnestly hope that you and your government would not allow the criminals to go scot free and punish us, our young children, our teachers, and the local communities. Looking forward to your kind intervention and favorable action, we send you best regards and all peaceful wishes.
Cordially,
Meera Udayakumar S. P. Udayakumar
