In the Garden of No Fukushima

Star Priscilla

Priscilla Star has been an anti-nuclear activist and organizer in the United States since 1997. After meeting Dr. Helen Caldicott and serving as a board member on Caldicott’s Standing for Truth About Radiation (STAR) board, she remains vigilant against the decommissioning of all nuclear power plants around the world. She is also the Executive Director of Coalition Against Nukes, an anti-nuclear activist facebook page created after 3/11/11. Star resides in the U.S.

The ancient poet, Rumi, wrote that the joy of being human is uncovering the core garden and treasure within. I draw great strength from this mantra, but in terms of one world, we are staring at the fault lines of humanity. If the human race does not resuscitate a great ecological balance with earth’s core garden, both man and the planet will perish.

After Fukushima blew on 3/11/11, our planet became so uncontrollably toxic that for all intents and purposes, we’re no longer privvy to missed opportunities. “Hope for the earth lies not with leaders but in your own heart and soul. If you decide to save the earth, it will be saved. Each person can be as powerful as the most powerful person who ever lived, and that is you, if you love this planet.” I am also guided by the always mentoring mantras of my dear friend, Helen Caldicott.

Director General Yukiya Amano of the IAEA purports that meaningful steps have been taken to strengthen global nuclear safety after 3/11/11. The global nuclear industry is not safe. It was never safe. Nuclear power is the worst cancer the core garden of all humanity and earth has to cure.

The 3/11/11 multiple nuclear meltdowns still spewing from Japan’s Fukushima Daiici nuclear power reactors will be permanent stains on all humanity, environmental genocide of the highest order. Crimes against humanity can only be stopped if humanity stops them. We must do everything in our core gardens to save the treasure that is our planet.

I am the face of the global, anti-nuclear activist/organizer and stand in solidarity with my brothers and sisters around the world fighting all forms of nuclear madness not just on 3/11/12 but every day.
