Deceit and Danger!
The Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project Station Director Mr. R. S. Sundar has just announced that they have produced 570 MW.
On August 14, 2013, AERB granted Clearance for Raising Reactor Power upto 50% FP (500 MW) and it is valid upto January 31, 2014. This Clearance has been posted on the AERB website (Item No. 14 under “Latest AERB News) in the www.aerb.gov.in website.
When the local press reporters asked the Director when exactly the AERB granted further Clearance to go beyond 50% FP, Mr. Sundar replied that it was granted during the VVER Regulators Forum Meeting held at Kanyakumari during December 11-13, 2013. The AERB Press Release on this Forum does not say anything about any new Clearance.
And there is no other Press Release or “Latest AERB News” that mentions the fresh Clearance. You can check yourself at this site:

Where is the new Clearance to go beyond 50% FP, Mr. Sundar? Was it an oral Clearance? Or are you misleading the nation of 1.2 billion people as usual and playing with all our lives? Please tell the truth.
