With their fearless determination and struggle against the proposed nuclear power plant at Chutka in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, people have scored a historic victory against the government. For the first time in India, the government had to postpone indefinitely its sham public-hearing that was scheduled on 24th May due to firm opposition of the people. Through their heroic determination the people of Chutka and nearby villages have given a clear message to the government that do not want the nuclear power project at all and also that they are ready to go to any extent for forcing the government to withdraw the project.
